Over the weekend I made a little trip two blocks from the house to the local laundrymat to wash mine and Boots comforter.  The laundrymat was closed down and renovated a few months ago, but this was my first time to actually step foot inside the building.  It was nice and clean, but not air-conditioned.  The fall air was a relief blowing through the propped open door.  I just want to share some pictures of my experience.

Obviously, somebody's tried it.

This is the biggest washer they have and it costs $3 to use, but it does a good job.

Washy washy.

Maybe "washer" refers to the whole place not just a machine.

If you go, be sure to take a pocketful of quarters.  It may cost just 25 cents to dry, but it only dries for ten minutes at a time.

Its weird the things you see sometimes.

Wanna Buy a Roster?

The following are cell phone pictures that I've cleaned off my phone from the past week.  Most of these are things I've seen, wanted, and not bought (so what, I'm cheap!), some are pictures I've sent Boots, and some are just plain funny.

Bonus points if you figure out the title!

:)

You know I love peacocks, right?

This, ladies and gentlemen, is a possibility (my Uncle Roe thinks he can make me one) of what might go in that teeny hole between the pantry cabinet and my new dishwasher.  That particular cabinet that I had to special order from Lowe's wouldn't fit.  Apparently we did some miscalculating with the tape measure somewhere.

This is the biggest jar I've ever seen!  I need one for something.

Baskets!

Bread box in the Target.

Bowling Friday night

Me and Haley snuck off to a huge! yard sale Saturday before Boots put us to work.  I exaggerated that huge, btw.

Is this for a baby?

This was taped to the door of the Ace Hardware store.

Would someone please tell my husband I need this!  It's on sale!

Is my washing machine in danger?
Why does it need a gun?!

Just Another Trip to Sam's Club!

I always say that its handy to carry a Sharpie in your purse.

My uncle promised my cousin Pea that he would buy him the biggest box of candy he wanted after he got his braces removed.
Looks like there'll be more trips to the dentist soon.

Dairy (milk)

Just to clarify that they didn't mean "Dairy (cheese)!"

Thank Facebook for the "Hide" Button!

Alternate titles: "My Weekend," "The Weekend," "Weekend Recap," and so on and so forth.

Question:  Why is it that in the blogging world nobody writes on the weekend?
That's like the best time for me to read and nobody writes!!
Maybe I should just save all of my unread posts until the weekend and trick myself.
I don't know.......one day I'll get to the bottom of it.

Let's see......Friday.
I was off work, I was lazy, I took Nat's advice and turned my dog into a burrito baby.
She didn't really like it but......
I went to Hobby Lobby, looked at artificial flowers, I went to the pool and saw 11 pennies on the way (what luck!).
I went with the roommate to see her grandbaby.
We stopped at Wal-Mart  >:( on the way and I had to walk down the wedding aisle.
I wasn't going to buy anything but I wanted to look.
I found these cake toppers.

How funny!
We ate quesadillas at the mall later.
Here's a picture of a redneck's version of a backseat driver.

Saturday......I worked, I went to my cousin's SURPRISE! birthday party, fell in love with a kitten (see photo below), visited family, and proceeded to develop a sore throat.

Sunday......woke up with aforementioned sore throat, I worked, skipped church, poured soap on my car so the rain could wash it, thought about going to look at cars after the salespeople have all gone home, thought about cleaning my apartment, thought about buying pots and planting sunflowers at my apartment, thought about "accidentally" dropping sunflower seeds in the grass and letting nature take its course, thought about houses.
It seems the house hunt has resumed itself as quickly as it dropped off but this time with renewed vigor.
Here's hoping.
I'm excited!

Do you watch House?
Have you noticed that they always run the same depression medication commercial at the beginning of every commercial break?
I think they think that the people that watch House are depressed.

Strange Sights

-A naked baby doll in the middle of an intersection
-A high heel shoe on side of the road
-A pair of reading glasses on a grave in a cemetery
-One tennis shoe in the middle of a country road
-A leather glove in the middle of a country road
-The aforementioned's mate two miles later

I saw a man using a stationary pay phone this afternoon on my way home from work.
I thought about writing something about how much a weird thing to do that seemed to be these days, but then some lady near 'bout murdered me with her SUV by moving over in my lane on top of me with no signal!
Where are the police when you need them?!
I thought about writing something about that until I saw a cockroach in my kitchen that was so big it could have toted me off!
I thought it was coming to get me, but I screamed and it ran under the stove.

I always see the strangest things when I don't have a camera.
Like this morning on the way to school I saw a tire standing in the middle of the road.
Just standing there, if tires stood that is.

And this afternoon, I got behind the biggest, greenest, slowest combine I've ever seen traveling at a speedy speed of approximately 20 mph.
20 MPH!
But I put on my hazards and plowed along behind him because (1) I was in no hurry, (2), I know what it's like to be a farmer and have to move a slow piece of equipment down a public road, and (3) I figured surely he wouldn't be going the same way I was going for the next 80 miles.
I followed that combine for four miles and got a little worried when he made that first turn with me.
By the second turn our following-relationship ended and I was on my merry way.

I raised my windows when I got home because its been such a warm day today.
A man across the street plays the trumpet.
I heard him practicing scales with his balcony door open so I blasted him with my trombone and we exchanged waves.
